Day 1 - September 24th
Well, we finally made it to Salem. About a quarter of a mile prior to the Fillmore exit, we heard a loud bang. With 12 tires turning, one of them blowing was bound to happen. The rear tire on the truck threw the tread off but the tire still held air. Talk about the Lord watching over you. We were able to drive straight to the gas station, but there was a problem. The spare tire was an inch larger than the opposite tire. To put it on would have worn out the rear end on the truck. We were able to buy a used tire and continued our trip. We are staying tonight and tomorrow night at the rodeo grounds in Salem, thanks to Paul Bliss. So far, so good. Church tomorrow in Santaquin with Scott Alexander's family.
